The kitchen is the heart of the home.
Warm and welcoming, this room sets the stage; from our early morning coffee to our sleepy time tea, it invites us to linger over meals and conversation that nurture and restore.
It’s where our favorite birthday cakes are made…
Where family get-togethers transpire…
{One Pan Roasted Citrus Glazed Salmon with Brussels Sprouts}
Where romantic dinners ensue…
{Orecchiette with Sausage, White Beans & Rapini}
I think we can safely say that the best things of life commence in the kitchen.
We cook here, eat here, entertain here, solve the world’s problems here. The life force that a kitchen provides is pretty astounding when you think about it.
Are you wondering where all of this kitchen talk is coming from?
NEWS:
Dom and I are embarking on a kitchen renovation. Demolition has occurred. The fridge is out; the range is gone; and as I write this, there’s nothing left but a dusty outline of our ‘old’ island and a couple light fixtures suspended idly from the ceiling. We’ll be living without our kitchen-comforts for a predicted six to eight weeks. With that being said – I’ll still be around! I have fun recipes in the works that don’t require a stove, and I plan to make the most of this kitchen-free time by sharing popular archived recipes, too.

Buon Appetito!

I’m planning on doing mine next year – can’t wait – you’ll need to give me a heads up for any surprise head aches that you had to deal with! Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend!

A kitchen reno sounds like fun! Okay, not the actual reno or being without a kitchen, but the finished product will be exciting. Renovating our kitchen is definitely on the list, although it may not happen for a few years yet. I’m looking forward to seeing the final result of your reno. You’ll have to share pics!
Annie says
We just keep focusing on the end result! The house is pretty torn up – but it will all be worth it! Thanks, Leanne!
